Photographer Greg Rust journeyed to Managua, Nicaragua, to capture on film the essence of the service learning semester, a program offered to students from Xavier University in Cincinnati. They spent three months in this very poor country, earning academic credit and working with children at schools, orphanages, and hospitals. The students come back changed by the people they have met and the things they have seen. Greg Rust had the same experience.
