Peter Arabia, SJFr. Peter Arabia, 41, from New York, has a BA in history and political science from Holy Cross. He taught at St. Peter's Prep in Jersey City, where he also organized an exchange program to Guadalajara, Mexico. He has been a hospital chaplain in Manhattan and a pastoral minister in Malden, Mass.; this fall he heads to Buffalo to direct campus ministry at Canisius High. Shay Auerbach, 36, from Honolulu, with an MA in linguistics from Georgetown, was a teacher at St. Joseph's Prep and Gesu School in Philadelphia, summer camp coordinator at Holy Name Parish in Camden, N.J., and director of liturgy at St. Ignatius Parish in San Francisco. After ordination he will serve in pastoral ministry at St. Raphael's Parish in Raleigh, N.C. (Maryland Province)
Mark Bosco, SJFr. Mark Bosco, 34, from Chicago, with a BA in philosophy and an MA in English literature from Saint Louis University, taught theology and English at Regis High in Denver and served as a pastoral minister and music director at St. Agnes Parish in San Francisco. After ordination he will continue doctoral studies in theology and literature at the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, Calif. (Missouri Province) Mathew Cassidy, SJ Fr. Matthew Cassidy, 37, from New York, has a bachelor's degree in history from Boston College. He worked in Ghana, Haiti, and Belize, did hospital ministry in New York, and taught confirmation classes to tenth graders in Boston. In the fall he plans to teach history and coach cross country at St. Aloysius, a Nativity-style middle school in Harlem. (New York Province)

Fr. Jeffrey Chang, 32, from Honlulu, has a BS in foreign service from Georgetown. He has worked at homeless shelters, taught English in China, designed a math education program for teachers in Cambodia, and directed retreats in California and North Carolina. Next year he will continue graduate studies in biblical theology at the Jesuit School of Theology in Berkeley. (Maryland Province) Jeffrey Chang, SJ Fr. Joseph Dubé, 39, from Los Angeles, has an MBA from Pepperdine in Malibu, Calif., and an MA in Christianity and culture from Gonzaga in Spokane. He worked with Christian Life Communities in Uruguay, did pastoral ministry in Guatemala and Mexico, and worked with Latino communities in Spokane and Berkeley. Fr. Gregory Eck, 33, from Summit, N.J., has a bachelor's degree in foreign service from Georgetown. He taught at Georgetown Prep in Maryland, served as a prison chaplain in Nigeria and at San Quentin State Prison, and worked with Fe y Alegria in Bolivia. He returns to Georgetown Prep this fall to teach and serve as chaplain and plans to do apostolic work with Gaelic speakers. (Maryland Province) Gregory Eck, SJ Fr. Christopher Frechette, 38, from Hammond, Ind., with bachelor's degrees in philosophy and English from Rockhurst College, taught scripture and directed liturgical music at Brophy Prep in Phoenix. He has worked as a prison chaplain in Boston and teaching at Dolores Mission in Los Angeles. This fall he continues work on a doctorate in Old Testament at Harvard. Raymond Guiao, SJFr. Raymond Guiao, 35, from Cleveland, has a master's degree in voice from the University of Michigan. He taught at St. Ignatius High in Cleveland, interned at Company magazine, and cantored at parishes in Cleveland and Cambridge, Mass. This fall he continues work as a composer of liturgical music and student of liturgy at Catholic Theological Union in Chicago. (Detroit Province) James Hederman, SJ Fr. James Hederman, 45, from Brooklyn, has a BA in biochemistry from Canisius College, an MD from SUNY, and a master's in family therapy from Hahnemann University in Philadelphia. He worked as a chaplain at Fairfield Prep, a counselor at Boston College High, and an assistant chaplain at Harvard Medical School. In fall he returns to chaplaincy work at Fairfield Prep. Patrick Kelly, SJFr. Patrick Kelly, 39, from Columbus, Ohio, has a bachelor's in religious studies from the University of Detroit Mercy and a master's in theology from Harvard Divinity. He taught religion and assisted professional athletes finishing their degrees at the University of Detroit Mercy. He will serve at Gesu Parish in Detroit next year and plans to do doctoral studies in religion and sports. (Detroit Province) Robert Kroll, SJFr. Robert Kroll, 34, from Fox Point, Wis., earned a bachelor's in foreign service from Georgetown University. He studied philosophy in Paris and taught English and theology at Marquette University High School in Milwaukee, where he also coached tennis and chaperoned service trips to Appalachia and the Dominican Republic. He will be back at Marquette High in the fall. (Wisconsin Province)

Fr. Thomas Lawler, 34, from Wauwatosa, Wis., has a BA in English from the University of Dallas. He taught and directed campus ministry at Creighton Prep in Omaha, worked with the Extended Family Support Program in Chicago, and is a published composer of liturgical music. After ordination he will continue working on a master's in social work at Loyola University Chicago. (Wisconsin Province) Thomas Lawler, SJ Fr. Tuan Le, 42, from Quang Tri, Vietnam, has a BS in pharmacy from Southwestern Oklahoma State. He worked as a chaplain at Denver County Jail and San Quentin and as an interpreter for Amerasians and tutor for African Americans in St. Louis. This fall he begins a CPE residency at Georgetown Medical Center and will serve as an assistant for the Vietnamese Companions. (Missouri Province) Tuan Le, SJ
Fr. Leo Manglaviti, 55, from Scranton, Pa., who has a PhD in English from Johns Hopkins University, taught English literature at Penn State, University of Scranton, and Keystone College. He has also worked at a homeless shelter and taught in Amman, Jordan. This fall he will be teaching Old Testament and theology at Pope XXIII National Seminary in Weston, Mass. (New England Province) Leo Manglaviti, SJ Fr. James Martin, 38, from Philadelphia, has a BS from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Business. He has worked with gangs in Chicago, prisoners in Boston, the Missionaries of Charity in Kingston, Jamaica, and the JRS in Nairobi. Lucian Martinez, SJFr. Lucian Martinez, 32, from Neuilly-sur-Seine, France, has a bachelor's degree in religious studies from the University of Virginia. He taught religion and English to middle schoolers in Osorno, Chile, and interned at the Archdiocese of San Francisco tribunal. In the fall he plans to return to the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome to continue studies in canon law. (Maryland Province) Gerard Menard, SJ Fr. Gerard Menard, 35, from New Orleans, has BAs in computer science and psychology from Saint Louis University and an MS in computer science from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. He has programmed computers at the Vatican Observatory and repaired computers for the Jesuit Refugee Service in East Africa. He will teach math at Rockhurst High this fall. (Missouri Province)
John Monahan, SJ Fr. John Monahan, 43, from Lexington, Mass., has degrees in business, aviation, and human resources. He was a chaplain at Georgetown University Medical Center, rehabbed buildings in remote Alaskan villages, and directed retreats at St. Joseph's Parish in Alameda, Calif. He will continue theology studies in the fall and hopes to work as a military chaplain or missionary in Alaska. (New England Province) Thomas Murphy, SJ Fr. Thomas Murphy, 40, from Winthrop, Mass., has a bachelor's degree in history from the College of the Holy Cross and a doctorate in history from the University of Connecticut. He taught at Fairfield University and worked for a summer at the Jesuit Family Life Retreat Program in Pennsylvania. He will begin teaching history at Seattle University in the fall. Fr. Paul Nienaber, 44, from Covington, Ky., has a doctorate in physics from the University of Illinois. He taught physics, astronomy, and math at Xavier University in Cincinnati and served in campus ministry at MIT in Cambridge, Mass. In the fall he plans to teach physics at the university level and continue research at Fermilab, the national accelerator laboratory in Batavia, Ill. (Chicago Province)Paul Nienaber, SJ Fr. Martin O'Malley, 33, from the Bronx, has a BA in history from Hamilton College in Clinton, N.Y. He served as a chaplain at Harvard Law School, a visiting fellow at Woodstock Theological Center, a philosophy instructor at LeMoyne College, and a spiritual director in Canada and New Jersey. Fr. Sean O'Sullivan, 38, from Kenmare, Ireland, has BAs in sociology and Spanish from Loyola University New Orleans. He was an advocate for prisoners in New Orleans and Detroit and worked with youth in Chicago and Peru. He will receive an MA in counseling from the University of San Francisco and work at an institute for psychotherapy in San Rafael, Calif. (Chicago Province) Sean O'Sullivan, SJ Fr. Stephen Planning, 33, from Milwaukee, has a bachelor's in psychology and a master's in educational administration. He worked at a college and leper colony in Nigeria, taught at a Jesuit high school in Santiago, Chile, and worked with Mexican immigrants at San Jose Parish in Berkeley. James Prehn, SJFr. James Prehn, 32, from Rockford, Ill., has a BA in history from Oakland University. He taught history at Walsh Jesuit High and English in Poland, and was a spiritual director at a women's prison. After completing a doctorate in education at the University of San Francisco, he plans to return to high school teaching and eventually become a high school principal or president. (Detroit Province) James Pribek, SJ Fr. James Pribek, 37, from Lacrosse, Wis., has a BA in agriculture from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and an MA in English from Gonzaga. He taught at Red Cloud Indian School in Pine Ridge, S.Dak., and has worked at the Boston Irish Pastoral Centre, which serves recent Irish immigrants. This fall he will pursue a PhD in Irish literature. (Wisconsin Province)
Ross Pribyl, SJ Fr. Ross Pribyl, 37, from Wauwatosa, Wis., has a bachelor's degree in business from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. He taught English and drama at Brebeuf College Prep in Indianapolis, studied theater at Loyola University Chicago, and has served as a deacon at Sacred Heart Parish in Malden, Mass. In the fall he will begin a master's degree program in directing. (Chicago Province) Mark Ravizza, SJ Fr. Mark Ravizza, 41, from San Jose, Calif., has degrees in philosophy and engineering from Stanford and a PhD in philosophy from Yale. He taught at Santa Clara University and Ateneo de Manila in the Philippines, and worked at Casa de los Pobres in Tijuana and at a L'Arche community in Vancouver. He will be an assistant pastor in West Oakland, Calif., this fall. (California Province)

Fr. Thomas Simonds, 35, from Grand Island, Nebr., has a bachelor's in psychology from Creighton and a master's in educational administration from Boston College. He taught at Creighton Prep, assisted at rural medical clinics in the Dominican Republic, and taught English in Poland. He will be assistant principal at Red Cloud Indian School in Pine Ridge, S.Dak., this fall. (Wisconsin Province) Thomas Simonds, SJ Fr. Lorn Snow, 36, from Port Henry, N.Y., has an MA in human services from John Carroll University. He worked in AIDS ministry in Cleveland and Manhattan, led youth pilgrimages to the shrine of the North American Martyrs in Midland, Ontario, and taught at the University of Detroit Jesuit High School and Academy. Fr. Timothy Stephens, 41, from Nashville, has a master's in economics and worked as an economic analyst for the CIA before joining the Jesuits. He taught at Gonzaga High in Washington, D.C., and was a pastoral minister in Seattle and Charlotte, N.C. He joins the staff of Loyola Retreat House in Faulkner, Md., while completing his doctorate in pastoral counseling this fall. (Maryland Province) Timothy Stephens, SJ Fr. Gregory Waldrop, 37, from Dallas, has a bachelor's degree in English from Yale and a aster's degree in journalism from Northwestern. He taught English to Eastern European scholastics in Poland, was an AIDS-information volunteer in New Orleans, and an English and humanities teacher at Jesuit High in Tampa. Kevin White, 37, from Norwell, Mass., with bachelor's degrees in English and economics from Boston College and a master's degree in public policy from the University of Michigan, served in the Peace Corps in Kenya and spent his regency years in Jamaica. Justin Whittington, 39, from Washington, D.C., has a BA in classics from Harvard and an MA in philosophy from Fordham.
