Fr. Michael Doody, SJ
Campus minister, Saint Louis University
Time on the job: 11 years
"Believe in yourself. No matter how rotten we think we are, God can't do anything but love us,"
are the guiding principles of Fr. Doody, here baptizing Dionne Drummond, an RCIA student.
Doody draws students to retreats and service programs in staggering numbers, and his 10 p.m.
Sunday mass draws up to 1,000 people to Francis Xavier College Church. "We address students
where they are," he says. "Our homilies are about relationships and how to find God in a busy
student world."
