Thomas Aleman

Thomas Aleman
Metairie, LA

Tommy, 19, graduated from Archbishop Rummel High School in Metairie, LA. He has worked at a Chevrolet dealership and at Operation Headstart helping underprivileged children at grammar schools in New Orleans. He grew up hunting and fishing with his father and enjoys working with cars; he has done some quarter-mile car racing at local tracks. (New Orleans Province)

Christopher Bellanca

Christopher Bellanca
Clarks Summit, PA

Christopher, 27, graduated from Harvard University with a degree in biology and has a law degree from Yale University. He has worked as a paralegal, clerk, and attorney in New York and Boston. He has also done volunteer work as an attorney for the Community Reinvestment Coalition and provided legal assistance to homeless, low-income, and HIV-positive people in Connecticut. Jonathan Brown

Jonathan Brown
Opelousas, LA

John, 25, with an associate's degree in visual arts from the Art Institute of Houston, worked as a graphic designer and as a creative project manager for Internet companies. He spent two summers working as a counselor at the Louisiana Lions Camp for Crippled Children. Hunting, Cajun music, and Cajun dancing are among his other interests. (New Orleans Province)

Joseph Cilano

Joseph Cilano
New Orleans, LA

Joseph, 40, has a BA in general studies from the University of Southwestern Louisiana. He worked for the American Red Cross in Louisiana and on several disaster relief operations around the United States. He has also installed and maintained safety equipment on drilling rigs in the Middle East. His hobbies include photography, gardening, and genealogy. (New Orleans Province)

George Collins

George Collins
Boston, MA

George, 39, has an accounting degree from Boston College and was pursuing a master's degree in pastoral ministry at Boston College. For fifteen years he worked at the Boston Edison Company as a cable installer and supervisor. He was part of his parish's RCIA team and has traveled to Guatemala on a mission trip. To relax he reads and watches movies. (New England Province)

Ralph Cordero

Ralph Cordero
Lorain, OH

Ralph, 34 was born in Puerto Rico and moved with his family to Ohio in 1977. He practiced optometry in Lorain, OH, for ten years after receiving his doctorate in the field from Ohio State University in 1990. He recently traveled to El Salvador where he, along with a group of fellow optometrists, provided eye care to hundreds of Salvadorans. (Detroit Province)

Joseph Dao
Saigon, Vietnam

Joseph, 24, studied law in Vietnam and attended Santa Ana College in California. He has worked at a law office as an administrative assistant and for a sports team as manager for which he traveled to the Philippines, Singapore, and Hong Kong. He has an interest in psychology and counseling and enjoys jogging, writing, reading, and the martial arts. (California Province)

Mark Doherty

Tacoma, WA

Mark, 20, studied French and international relations for two years at the University of California at Davis. He has worked as a student manager at his school's recreation hall, a camp counselor, and a swimming instructor. Paris, San Francisco, and Sierra Leone are some of the other places he has lived; in his spare time he plays soccer and lifts weights. (California Province)

Joseph Early

Denver, CO

Joe, 18, attended Regis Jesuit High School in Denver and has worked as an Internet and technology specialist with America Online. He also worked as a teacher with gifted students in kindergarten through fifth grade in the Cherry Creek School District in Colorado. His interests include karate, kick boxing, theater, and choir. Duane Farabaugh

Duane Farabaugh
West Islip, NY

Duane, 27, has a BA in German from Binghamton University in New York. He has worked as a legal assistant and an English instructor to international students in New York. As a Fulbright teaching assistant in an Austrian high school, he taught conversational English. He was a participant in the "Six Weeks a Jesuit" program and enjoys running. (New York Province)

Marcus Fellman

Marcus Fellman
Dallas, TX

Marc, 24, graduated from Georgetown University with a BS in foreign service. He has an interest in Russian history and culture and was a junior fellow with the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. He wrote proposals for economic development in Eastern Europe and Eurasia while working for the Carana Corporation. He has backpacked through much of Europe. (Maryland Province)

Brian Gagnon

Brian Gagnon
Royal Oak, MI

Brian, 29, has a bachelor's degree in political science from John Carroll University and a master's degree in urban affairs from Saint Louis University. As a Presidential Management Intern, he worked in finance and helped develop policy and training programs for the Small Business Administration in Washington, DC. He is a golfer and snowboarder. Charles Gallagher

Charles Gallagher
Nantucket, MA

Charlie, 34, has a doctorate in history (with a focus on American Catholicism) from Marquette University. He has worked as a police officer in his hometown, history professor at the University of North Florida, and archivist for the Jacksonville diocese. He had attended St. Vincent de Paul Seminary in Jacksonville, and he likes basketball and running. (New England Province)

Jeffrey Graves

Jeffrey Graves
Torrance, CA

Jeff, 33, has a BA in philosophy and an MA in education administration from Holy Names College in California. He has done fund-raising work and designed a website for students who participate in the Model United Nations. Costa Rica and 47 U.S. states are among the places he has traveled. Skiing and golf are outdoor activities he enjoys. (California Province)

Cleveland, OH

Joe, 40, has degrees in communication and philosophy from Ohio State University and a law degree from the University of San Diego. An attorney specializing in civil litigation, he has practiced in Los Angeles and San Diego and taught law at the University of San Diego and the University of the Pacific in California. His hobbies include travel and photography. (California Province)
